FAQ

Can I be home during the process?

Yes, you can! Everything is contained under negative pressure and your indoor air quality is perfectly safe during the cleaning process. If anything is discovered that may be harmful to your health or surroundings, you will be notified immediately before any further work is done.

Why should I have my air ducts cleaned?

Since so much time is spent in your home, indoor air quality is very important. Re-circulating air through air ducts that may have a build-up of pet dander, mildew or mold spores, pollen, and other pollutants can have a negative impact on your health. Also, research by the US Environmental Protection Agency has demonstrated that HVAC system cleaning may allow systems to operate more efficiently.

How often should I have my air ducts cleaned?

NADCA recommends having your HVAC cleaned in a residential home every 3 to 4 years. A homeowner may wish to opt for more frequent cleanings after a home renovation or for residents with allergies, asthma, etc.

What type of cleaner does your company use?

We use a water-based, antimicrobial cleaner called MediClean along with an organic-based stain fighting agent. MediClean is an EPA-registered phenolic disinfectant and has demonstrated effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) and other similar viruses.
